Step 3.6: SEO Data

Step 3.6: SEO Data

Intermediate SEO Concepts | Analysing SEO Data

SEO data comes in many forms, although word ‘data’ might be a big off-put for some, they’re neither complex or scary!

A list of keywords could be legitimately called data, once we add in search volume or traffic, we have a nice little dataset. Everything in SEO has data associated with it, this could be website traffic data or the number of pages on a site.

When you are analysing a site larger than a handful of pages, you will need to structure data in a user-friendly way in order to analyse it. We cover this later on in more detail.

Spreadsheets

Typically, we use spreadsheets or some equivalent like Google Sheets to store and access our data. So, being familiar with the basics of these tools is a must for any SEO. See our Excel for SEO guide for more information on this.
