There are various different tools you can use out there which are all a type of ‘Webmaster Tool’. In essence these tools provide you or your ‘webmaster’ with information about how your site appears to a Search Engine. As such most Search Engines provide a tool suite of this nature to assist you.

Google Search Console

This is Google’s Webmaster Tool, now called Google Search Console; this is a free tool, and this is what Google say about it:

“Google Search Console is a free service offered by Google that helps you monitor and maintain your site's presence in Google Search results.
You don't have to sign up for Search Console for your site to be included in Google's search results, but doing so can help you understand how Google views your site and optimize its performance in search results.”

Bing Webmaster Tools

Bing Webmaster Tools is Bing’s version of this and it does the exact same thing as Google’s but is specific to their Search Engine.
